MB was not saying it is all about geography either...what they are essentially saying, among other things, in that discussion... given that Latin America is geographically western but not really considered in large part, western, and South Korea is politically “western” but not geographically...being western becomes subtle yet problematic reference to western countries being those dominated by white Europeans. But Greece was not always considered “Western”... Turkey, until recently, was kind of considered Western, but not, because of the Muslim presence. And it is convoluted, because “the west’s” values and cultural icons range from everything from Mozart to Trump Steak and reality TV...not really any continuity. And the human pursuit of knowledge, of fairness, of yearning for freedom from oppression...is not somehow unique to European countries and colonies, but is a fundamental instinct in all people.

Nominalism just won't cut it (Occam) ... life is not simple and without recognition of complexity, the unreal and abstract ... neither will the absolute power survive. This is so weird, it’s trippin’ me out! No drugs necessary.
