Room For All

I haven't planned any type of funeral for myself. My spouse and kids know I don't care about having a traditional event so they can do whatever they feel like doing. They know I have DNR desires, and that organ donation can be done. My 'affairs' are pretty much in order leaving only the legal forms etc. to be dealt with. My ashes could be put in the river if they like, followed by a campfire time.

Good morning! Happy midweek! Gardening and funeral planning are on our minds, along with a lot of other things. We gather round the Coffee Cart in spirit to chat about all of it. Come in when you have the chance, share your thoughts and inspirations with us, along with a mug or cup of hot beverages. All is ready, come and join in!

Light snow was falling when I went to bed last night. It is still at it this morning. I'm glad neither of us has to get to somewhere else as it looks slippery outside. Today the wet snow makes my view look very English. Surely some kids will be building snowfolk and/or forts.

No snow here, just plenty of rain. Showers, periods of rain, thunderstorms, you name it, it is somewhere in the forecast for the next 24-48 hours.

I'll take dogs and birds over neighbours kicking up a racket like that Harley. Bikes are the worst. So glad we're in a quiet, suburban subdivision now.

I stand corrected. It wasn't the Harley singing this morning. Some other vehicle was the culprit. Harley is still tucked in on its site.

Well I'm up now and waiting for the kettle to boil for coffee.

Yeah the muffler may be an issue. It was also a poorly tuned vehicle in general from the way it sounded.

With open window season looming (unlike Jayne, we don't open ours much until weather is fairly warm) I imagine we'll be hearing the noise of street racers on Fanshawe again soon. At least that's what it sounds like. Cars with extremely loud engines going quite fast. We've far enough off Fanshawe that we only hear car noise with windows open, so it's not a nuisance or anything, just something I hear from time to time.

Still snowing here. The stuff landing on paved surfaces is melting though. It doesn't bode well for when the temperature drops and that water freezes. My guy has to drive an hour away for a CT scan. We are a bit concerned about the road conditions. Wait and see, I guess.

It's almost back door opening for the summer season here (no A/C here, just a lot of ceiling fans, open windows, furnace fan and trees, it's a bungalow with a cool basement). There's a screen door on a heavy hinge whereby the dog can let herself in and out all night, unless I latch it. I can vaguely hear the 400 from here if I'm listening hard, but it's a largely a mild "hum" (it's a couple of km north of me). What I have lots of is cardinals, and man, are they noisy birds, with a couple of distinct calls, individualized.

It has been a glorious day here today. I spent 2.5 hours at a church council meeting this morning. It is a great bunch. I chatted with the minister for a bit after, then the treasurer. This was my second meeting and they've been very welcoming.

This afternoon involved a couple of hours around the campfire with friends. It was lovely.

I'm dosing on the recliner before supper. Tonight is a knit night with friends.

That's a lot of people-ing for one day!
