IMO, I think Eric Weinstein seems like he’s being square and helicoptering, actually.
[I have kept my son, his face, gender and name off of Social Media almost completely for 13 years to preserve his options and anonymity. He has now asked to come forward with a YouTube channel: https://m.youtube.com/channel/UCUrd25...] Everyone wants to know what the generation after the Millenials makes of this world and what will they be like when the come of voting, working, and consuming ages. So, why don't we just ask them? I'm lucky to have one at home, but if you don't have one living under your roof you can borrow mine as he's starting a channel. I often get asked about my approach to parenting and perhaps this models a bit of it. Here I chat briefly with my son Zev,13, about what it is like to have such a tumultuous time as the current era for your developmental environment. If you don't have a Generation Z member with whom you can discuss their various lenses, I can say that I feel I've learned a lot from having Zev as a guide who always enriches my perspective and often corrects me in this area to keep me from error. - Eric Weinstein

Ok, but his dad is more of an influence on him.

It will be interesting to learn what his differences of opinion are.
Good thing our characters and belief etc don't come from our parents but rather a combo of genetics and peer influence...

I found it quite bizarre your first seemingly out of the blue comment; like u were immediately trying to put down Zef just because of how u feel aboot his Bernie supporter father who thinks that in order 2 survive we probably must have a socialism that is more socialistic than communism and a capitalism that is more capitalistic than current capitalism and who has issues with Kermit Peterson's reliance on Self Reliance, bucko? Talk aboot knee jerk reaction lol
You really do believe in some kind of moral pollution, don'tcha?

Anyway, also good on Miss Cortez. Taking control of her own life and forging her own path. Kudoes. Brave (a politician among the powerful sharks so young)

His name is Zev, not Zef, I think. (I used to know somebody named Zev)

I think my knee jerk reaction is to the whole IDW influence. Why does Eric hang out in that Dave Rubin echo-chamber?
It’s like, half a dozen guys agreeing and agreeing to disagree, amongst themselves - so it’s not ‘really’ an open exchange of ideas - they’re limited. They never have debates with any real progressives. They all seem to push the idea that the left is more problematic than the right, today, which is not true- the right is so much more dangerous to civil liberties. The identity politics is far more dangerous on the right...but they just contribute their own angles to attacking the “left”. The left are who get good things (see Alexandria Ocasio Cortez) done to make life better for everybody, in terms of social equality and to make room for more diversity and human flourishing, and they always have been.

How is capitalism that is more capitalist, better? I think capitalism has gone so far it’s way past peak usefulness.

I wasn’t putting down, Zev, by the way, Inanna. He’s just a kid. It’s not his fault that both his dad and his uncle are associated with the Intellectual Dark Web. He seems like a decent, smart kid...I just wonder how much leeway his family will allow him when it comes to opinion about and exploration of the world and his place in it. His dad seems pretty strict (which is why I felt bad for him), and I noticed him asking what seemed to me like a few leading questions when they were chatting.

Is the intellectual dark web just part of the unknown and unknowing because of Blacklisting ... and burying of agendas so the social group won;t know?

Could we convert this label to hidden agendas or sacred thingy of a strange name like gammas higher nature?

Tis all hidden in the myth of: "something that you didn't want to know and dumped down the dark hole!" a vacant thing in spatial form ... it's out there!

And what will the next generation do with what is left if what's left is rubble? Think about all the fallen layers and tiers of dreams gone awry/aura-y/ hoary and frosty and denied nature ... unrequited love for sheltered places ... why we live in holes to drive people up into thin Eire as leaders! Tis insane when not balanced uppidy Ness ... like common Christian hombres burning on a stick saac RIFF iced for feeding the excessive rich ...

These say they hate piles of words ... yet speak of great nonsense (love impersonated)! All is chaos, all is chaos ... and the caldron must be stirred ... otherwise those on the bottom will be incinerated ... star functions with great gravitas ... those ignited getting attention?

Possibly like Hercules ... too much weight on top? Since we're on top for an instant ... let us rest on it before we sinks in ... don;t fight it ... maybe even take to flight like some angels ... refracted ... in the reflect aurai ...

Such well-planned actions as the Nov. 13 “Green New Deal” sit-in at Pelosi’s Capitol office serve many valuable purposes. (Along the way, they help undermine the absurd right-wing Fox News trope that portrays her as some kind of leftist.) Insistently advocating for strong progressive programs and calling Pelosi out on her actual positions despite nice-sounding rhetoric can effectively widen the range of public debate.

The Holy place between the two polities is deep and wide ... the medium is a mean essence ... not materialistic due to vaporization!

I saw a counter-culture developing which the main media institutions were mostly intent on ignoring or deeply misportraying. In this video, I explain how we got them to move from ignoring us to trying to laugh at us and spreading awareness and our message in the process, as well as how this counter-culture's name was born according to the main lesson of Nasim Taleb's "Anti-Fragility." "First they ignore you. Then they ridicule you. And then they attack you and want to burn you. And then they build monuments to you." -N. Klein, 1914 We have now progressed quickly to living between Klein's stage 2 and 3 as of June 2018. If we get to the end, we intend to skip phase 4 and hold an all night intellectual victory rave instead and invite the vanquished to join in, in the spirit of drunken friendship and loyal opposition. - Eric

@Ritafee They are not counter culture. That's disingenuous - for him to quote Naomi Klein when referring to the IDW!!!? (right wing is not counter culture, centrism is not counterculture either... and some sticks in the mud profs are not rock stars). That's another thing that bugs me so much about the IDW. I mean, yes, debates and intellectual curiosity are good but people don't need these guys to lead them into what to think...it's not counterculture! They're using pseudo counterculture hooks to lead people backwards. Too many young people have been fooled. Maybe Eric always wanted to secretly be counterculture...but this is not it. Dave Rubin is subsidized by a right wing think tank that is funded by the Koch brothers...who support big oil and anti- environmentalism.

The Sunrise Movement is counterculture.

I like the loyal opposition stand ... as comparable to the ideal of becoming lovers as there is an old adage that it really screws down a friendship in a stinky way that raises OCB ... and overwhelming possession tendencies on one side or the other.

Book club last night was my choice of Sidney Sheldon's The Other Side of Midnight ... it appears the members were torn over who's possession-ism was a bigger fodder than the alternate to cause much chewing out ... being no one settled on how justice in the story was carried out as the main character attributes were shot in the end! A rich demon and a lady suffering PTSD and black out were left behind to cause confusion after the book far found a' complete, or the tale was C'est Fini ... and the big fish went on!

All members admitted the tome caused more conversation potential than any other in over 20 years of our cliques histoire ... hiss'd wire? Thus well wired connections as in telepathe ... of that Guise of person that said "I Think!"

Is that gooey or just IHC symbol of different gathering ... being the truth Ca*ana aught be told about intimacies ... thus tacky pas scion in the night ... sticky issues --- de Arcane Jean, an old power!

A Knightly person if healthy ... obscure as Ichabod's riders!

The Dark Woman rode on ...

Chris Hedges is countercultural.

Everything is counter to something in a world where as certo and assertion is projected as proper aggression ... but beyond that ... a Moor that'll ... jell if coming off driving concern (AN) without reception ... the grave of receiving well?
