Wherever the minimum number composing a Christian society are assembled, Christ is there, now and always, till time's end, in the midst of them. This is true of the public profession of Christ.

I think he is with the lonely and God was with Jesus in the desert....and Jesus says we should pray alone....so God doent seem to care how many.

There are lots of words about the way the Christian god comforts the lonely, the isolated, etc. that surely she can be considered to be with every individual, all the time.

When God-Love comes between the subject and object ... the fourth ... thought is out the window supporting logical fallacy!

Radical passions of all types can do this and cause divine abstract/absolute dimensions ... one hard to take! The pain of learning and requirement of payne 't ... foreword? Unimaginable ...

Thus the ineffable ... nothing to it ...

You people need to do some research on this passage and read it in Context before you get speaking about it ---Cause this scripture is misused and abused to give people false hope ------ stop picking one scripture and making your own Doctrine about it ------

Matthew 18 GW

Dealing with Believers When They Do Wrong

15 “If a believer does something wrong go, confront him when the two of you are alone. If he listens to you, you have won back that believer. 16 But if he does not listen, take one or two others with you so that every accusation may be verified by two or three witnesses. 17 If he ignores these witnesses, tell it to the community of believers. If he also ignores the community, deal with him as you would a heathen or a tax collector. 18 I can guarantee this truth: Whatever you imprison, God will imprison. And whatever you set free, God will set free.

19 “I can guarantee again that if two of you agree on anything here on earth, my Father in heaven will accept it. 20 Where two or three have come together in my name, I am there among them.”

This is talking believer People -----not unbelievers ------Don't sugar coat Scripture ------

unsafe says -----

God makes it very Plain Sin keeps God Face turned away from hearing unbelievers

Isaiah 59 (AMP)
Separation from God
59 Behold, the Lord’s hand is not so short
That it cannot save,
Nor His ear so impaired
That it cannot hear.
2
But your wickedness has separated you from your God,
And your sins have hidden His face from you so that He does not hear.

unsafe says ---Now we can believe this or not -----but God says His Word is Truth ------

SO Christ is only present where 2 or more are gathered?

Many people seem to think so GordW. Others think the holy one is only inside churches. Not my view, but very few people who call themselves Christian care what I think unless it matches what they think.

No, I don't think this is the case.

My reading of the 2 or more gathered in His name is a matter of emphasis. I think the point is being made that a large assembly is not required.

So really then, 0 is the minimum because if God is omnipresent, then no human presence should be required. Empty space should be as full of God as a church.
Earlier Jae said the answer was 2. Changed his mind to omnipresent.

Christ's Word is God's Word; for Christ is God. The preaching of shame and grace must dwell among missionaries. It should be used abundantly each day. It contains the wisdom for life.

I am missing something. How does this fit in with the thread topic??????

And personally I think the church as a whole needs to stop shaming people.
