How do I fix the "rain, rain go away" under my avatar, to something else? What's the name for that function in my profile/ preferences? I obviously figured it out before, maybe by fluke, but I can't find it now.

    1. Click "Kimmio" on the top right corner next to "Inbox"
    2. Click "Personal Details" from the popup menu.
    3. Scroll down just a bit
    4. Write your new Custom Title in the space provided.

The PAC Man could use many thanks ... given the propensity of Roman Republicanism to just take ... :D

Thus you can take it or leave ... if called elsewhere ... or out of here and now ...

I have an issue I would like to address before I send my Secret Santa virtual gift. I can't upload photos in my conversations. Can that be fixed?

I can't even send conversations on my Droid (when I type in the To field nothing happens) so not really. I will look at it later.

Sending pictures in a convo should work the same as in a post from my quick look on a PC (can't say anything about other devices). Either load it on imgur or similar and use the link (preferred method) or click the Upload a File button. However, given that the upload option costs space on our rented server, linking is to be preferred. Probably need more details on @Kimmio's problem.

There is no upload file button on my conversations, only on threads. I use iPhone and iPad.

Could be an issue with running it on iDevices. As I said upthread, I can't even send conversations on my Galaxy S6. Perhaps other Apple users can chime in. I don't even have access to an iPhone or iPad to test but I'll check the Xenforo forums later.

Do you have the embed photo button (see circled below)? That's the one you use to embed an image stored on another server. You might be able to embed an image stored on your iCloud from that. I've used it to embed images from my Google Drive before, though I find Imgur (imgur.com) easier to use.

It's Safari on both which, from there, can choose any of the big ones.

Whichever way I get here, it doesn't change anything. It must be something between idevices and the forum system.

It could be because I have not upgraded my iOS on either device for the last 2 cycles. Because the last time I did so I had a headache - lost/ misplaced a few things. So I have avoided it. I just read on a blog that photo uploads is an issue people have had with iPhone/ iPad and Zenforo and Wordpress. Apple apparently fixed it with an 8.1 upgrade (two yrs ago) but the fix came with more problems so they 'unfixed' it. But I guess it's up to iOS 10 now? I think I have iOS 8. I have no idea what the iOS thing means, just that its some kind of upgrade they spring on us every so often, and I hate that because it disrupts at least a whole day for me, a few while I work out the kinks (last time I was so ticked off at my bossy roommate who insisted that I upgrade and picked up my phone and just did it - and some passwords were lost and I had to set up a bunch of things again.), and changes what I just got used to, and I have to find my way around again. Just do it better the first time and leave the darn thing alone, Apple guys! But they just keep making us get new stuff every 5 minutes.

iOS is the operating system for iPhone and iPad, equivalent to Windows or DOS on a PC. Because they are tied so tightly to the hardware, mobile operating systems like iOS and Android tend to get major updates more frequently than PC ones but don't get many patches in between. And you are correct, iOS 10 came out in November.

Being behind on iOS likely means you're behind on Safari, too. There is a version of Chrome for Apple devices. Perhaps try it?

Is there a way to see what sites links are from before clicking them?

Hover your mouse over the link, and then look in the address bar.

I have no idea about that. I can't afford the luxury of owning Apple products.
