Ah yes - Ford - the friend of the commoners - getting rid of overpaid consultants - sure. Hazel is unquestionably bright and experienced - but I have to admit her support for Ford surprised me during the campaign. Now if she'd give him a good talking to and send him to his room to think about his behaviour for a while ... well, that might be good. :nerd:

Well. There is no denying that Ford needs a lot of advice.

Also no denying that some of it could be of much better quality.

Hazel is obviously an astute politician with much more savvy than Ford will ever muster.

Well - you just gotta love Hazel ... I've never been wall climbing ... just saying. Guess I have another 30 years of opportunity ahead of me if she can do it at 97!! This was an opening of a new climbing gym last weekend - friend was there :)

We may not be on the same page politically, but I admire that woman so much. Given my genes, I'll be happy to clear 80 but if I could be like that at 97 ... yeah.

Apparently hitching her wagon to Ford's star held no appeal.

That reminds me of the time a few years ago, when she was fishing with Rob Ford, and she hooked a strong fish that almost pulled
her overboard, but Rob Ford throw his arms around her, so the fish didn't pull her off balance. The media were with them on this fishing
trip, and captured the whole thing on camera. She was happy enough to be "hitched" to a Ford then!

Being present with, is different than working for.

Suffering a buffoon is not the same as being on a buffoon's payroll.

And after the Ford Fiasco that was the Rob Ford Mayoralty and Doug's particularly odious bit in that I'm not at all surprised that Hazel would say no.
