Mendalla

Happy headbanging ape!!
Pronouns
He/Him/His
From the popular Bible passages thread. Sensitive folks may wish to stop here as my limerick may offend some.

That was a terrible limerick.

How's this, @chansen?

There is an old man named God,
Whose habits are terribly odd,
He sleeps with young virgins,
Heals without surgeons,
And never spares sinners the rod.

:D

Anyone else got a good, or terrible, limerick to share (Yes, that's a Mendalla original. Feel free to share, though I'd like credit.)

There once was a fool
He thought he knew the way
He figured he could get there in this way
All he had to do was pray
Try as he might he never did get there
He didn't even need to pack clean underwear

There once was a nerd
He had a pet bird
He gave the bird the best seed
The contest discouraged chicken feed
And yet it only came third.

I won't criticize anyone's attempt util I can pull one off myself.
Folks are doing really well.

There once was a guy who thought he could post
Never once did he boast
So he got out his rum
Now he is not glum
For this will go great with some toast.

There once was a bunch of cafe-ers
Who bantered and chatted all dayers
Oft times they did squabble
Other times they would sob-ble
And still they continued to play(ers)

Had to make it rhyme somehow.....

Syllables are involved. Not only is the pattern:

a
a
b
b
a

But the syllables are:

9
9
5
5
9

There once a chicken down on his luck
Things were so bad
He forgot how to cluck
He couldnt lay eggs that had any yolks
He only appealed to low cholesterol folks.
He couldnt stand up and fell on his back
One legged chicken lived in a sack.
One day Colonol Saunders came looking to buy
All the good chickens were taken so he didnt die.
He knew he was lucky not being chosen to eat
So happy to live he then crossed the street.
Why would he do that, we all want ro know
Cause its better to try than to let yourself go.
