Unfortunately the batteries in the voice recorder failed on Sunday so I was unable to post the second sermon in the Job series, where I explored the question of God's justice. But such is life and technology....

At any rte the story continues. The resource I used when planning this series takes a bit of a hop skip and jump through the 42 chapters. This week we have bits from Chapters 14 and 19.

Have you a transcript you could post - I'm getting a lot of good thoughts from this series!

I love the Coen Bros. Have never seen this one. It's on my "list" now (well, it's actually been conveyed to my favourite old pirate to find, lol).

SInce I don't wrte the sermon out before preaching the only way to have a transcript would have been to work from the recording so alas, that articular sermon has been a one day option (because even if I preached it again it would be different)

Compared to emotions is this script something to work at for understanding beyond ... rye desires? These sometimes appear as Mobi-us on both sides of the loopy Nous!

I suppose we just have to accept that life comprises chaos and bad times - and trust that God supports us when we are in need of support.....

As someone who uses Process Theology as a framework for my faith, I must confess that God's answer to Job is a difficulty for me. God's "power" is said to be in the ability to love unconditionally and not power as in control (Process Theology). Yet it does seem as if God - in this passage - seems very much the one in charge - and doesn't require input from we mere mortals?.......

God as a power of differing kind can leave us unknowing ... and settling some sense of Judi 'n Uncertainty Theory over what we know and what is unknown ... a great deal?

It can be subjective case if you miss the objective of the bible in teaching my children a pile of word and the understanding thereof for the unconscious mind ... an objective of thought buried deep in Oz ... an ancient expression of power when lost in thoughts driven by hormones and red bottom lines ...

It is said we get over it in both cases ... thus old folk know things beyond the capacity of young b'ns ... spatial places where intellect is buried and those that despise though processing will label it 'eLLe ... allowing room for vacuous silence between points ... tis a misty thought to much of humanity that would rather naught .. what?

You guest-it ... then we move on to the next step ... roofer's assistance? Something to get to the bottom of ... the divers plunge causing a stir ...

Reminds me of @Jae's question on another thread. Is fire good or bad? God just "Is" IMO and we either accept that and make a choice whether we want to be warmed or get burned. Throughout Job's trials, he continues to be "warmed" by God's presence.
