25 degrees here in Edmonton at 9:30 am. It even feels a little humid. I'm not complaining though. It's sunny and bright. I negotiated my way downtown easily using ETS. I think I'll even get back to West Ed okay too. Yay for express buses and good roads. We head back home today and then it's back to work tomorrow.

Your son is into meteorology?

He's doing Comp Eng in university but it was his thing for a couple years and at one point he talked about doing it for his graduate degree. Now, he's talking about grad studies in Comp Eng so he can maybe break into chip design or other high end hardware jobs.

And just got his dream job with the weather network reporting out of Calgary.

Cool. My son was always more interested in the back end, doing analysis and building models and stuff. He has a very mathematical mind, which is also why he's in engineering.

Off to Lacombe this afternoon for groceries...it is 92F which is OVER 30C...I'm melting.................

I'm just all over the place today :) Nice after I spent all day inside, resting.
Lunch with Northwind, shopping, came home to find out I had some urgent work sent to me - not my usual stuff, literally just typing in pdf file info into excel. Now I get to go out for a work dinner, that was last minute too.

Had a phone catastrophe on Sunday; phone launched itself out of a top shelf locker onto floor, landing on its corner. Small crack from last accident turned into big cracks and crunched corner. Daughter took me out this afternoon and assisted both purchase of new phone and case, but also orchestrated transfer of information from phone 1 to phone 2. Very painless.

Leftover salads in fridge (crisp slaw with kale & red cabbage) and bean salad. Leftover grilled steak, cold. Dinner for a hot night. Except that it wasn't as hot as it has been, so the steak got dressed up into a Philly cheese steak variation...

We had deli food we picked up with the groceries...I started eating but the heat got to me and I had to do lie down under a fan.

Driver situation was clarified early this morning and the replacement driver was able to help with the paper deliveries...we saw lots of lovely canola fields and one flax field in bloom.

Good morning, world. The weekend is at hand. We can do this. Whether it's worth doing is another question, but do it we can.
